POSITION OVERVIEW
We're seeking an experienced and dynamic Corporate Paralegal / Contracts Specialist to join our legal team. In this role, you'll work directly with our General Counsel to shape our contract strategy, streamline legal operations, and contribute to company-wide initiatives. SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As our Corporate Paralegal / Contracts Specialist, you will:
- Drive our contract lifecycle management process; drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements (MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, DPAs) that protect our interests while advancing business objectives.
- Serve as the central coordinator for the Legal Department, managing intake, tracking, and prioritization while acting as a crucial liaison between business partners and counsel.
- Enhance our legal infrastructure by developing and refining contract templates, playbooks, and processes that increase efficiency.
- Lead the contract signature process with meticulous attention to quality control.
- Contribute to specialized legal matters including insurance certificates, trademark registrations, and corporate filings.
- Maintain the Legal Department’s electronic files.
- Help achieve company and departmental goals through process improvements that reduce turnaround time without increasing risk.
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- ABA-approved paralegal certification or course of study is a plus.
SKILL SET AND EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience as a transactional corporate paralegal, contracts specialist or similar corporate in-house role with a strong focus on contract review.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with the talent to convey complex matters clearly and concisely.
- Strong understanding of contract law fundamentals and drafting principles.
- Meticulous attention to detail and outstanding organizational capabilities.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, think strategically, and devise creative solutions.
- Client-service mindset with interpersonal skills that build trust across all organizational levels.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and DocuSign, with aptitude for quickly adopting new legal technology tools.
- Strong command of English language, high standards of professional ethics and integrity, and excellent professional references.

SALARY:
Actual compensation is influenced by many factors including individual skill set, experience, specific office location, and qualifications. For positions located in New York City only, the range of starting pay for this role is $80-$125k.
